The
lake gets it waters from underground wells and also from the rivers: Istok,
Golema Reka, Kranska Reka and other rivers. Even though the water of
Prespa Lake does not flow away, it still runs out through underground
abyss that are on the Albanian part of the lake. The water of these
abysses appears near Ohrid Lake which is 158m lower of Prespa Lake. Prespa
Lake is rich in endemic kind of fish. The lake has two islands: Golem Grad
long 800m and wide 500m and Mal Grad long 250m and wide 150m. On both of
the islands the edges are steep with a fall of 850C. The island
Golem Grad at the time of Tzar Samuel at the 10th century was
his residence and today the are leftovers of ruins of an old church. Today
