River Crna is the biggest right tributary of Vardar. It springs from the spring Crna Dupka near by the village Zeleznec at 760m above sea level.

From the spring unto the village Bucin, River Crna flows through Demir Hisar, and from there to the village Skocivir through the largest valley Pelagonia. Crna flows through Pelagonia in the direction north-south, and at the village Brod makes a curve and turns northeast. From the village Skocivir Crna enters the gorge Skocivir the largest gorge in the country 104m long and also in the most high area Mariovo. Through Mariovo, Crna characterizes a mountain river because is fast with a narrow riverbed with high sides and the appearance of canyon. Coming near to the village Galiste Crna makes lakes with the length of 30km because before the river leaves the valley a dam is made with height of 105m. In that way Crna fills up the Tikves valley the largest artificial acumulation. The water from Crna is used for watering and to produced electric energy.

From the dam near by the village Vozarci all the way to utokata Vardar at the ancient sity Stobi. Crna has the charecteristics of an plane and is 207km long. Biger tributaries of Crna are: Dragor, River Jelaska, Belasnica, blato and so on. River Crna has a significant hydroenergetic power, especialy at the Valley Skocivir, but all the capacity is not used for which reason are making plans for a more efective use.
