In the last few years, caves and karsts are truely endangered by mankind. Various damages have been inflicted on the caves:

  • Broken and destroyed cave ornaments: stalactites, stalagmites, basins, corals etc.
  • Dumped waste
  • Dead cattle disposed off in pits
  • Grafiti on the cave walls
  • Holes dug into the caves
  • Sold cave objects and karst forms
  • Explosions etc.

Recently, many treasure hunters plunder our caves.

A plan for protection and appropriate management of the caves covering 19 local authorities is in the process of drafting. Teams that will be in charge of protection of caves will be established.
