The Osogovo region costume
The costume of the "Osogovka" dance, i.e., the Osogovo region villages, is very similar to the one of the Vardar valley. The only difference is the lack of the short sleeveless embroidered jacket; however there is the typical scarf which is tightened around men's heads. The scarf is actually a long linen ribbon tightened at the back of the head. Another particularity of the costume is the belt that, unlike the one of the Vardar valley costume, is not parti-coloured, but white with few cross stripes of a different colour.
