Aegean Macedonia dances
The dances from the Aegean Macedonia are actually a bouquet of songs and dances from the Southern part of Macedonia known as Aegean Macedonia. The costumes of the bouquet are of the same geografic origin as the dances, and are very similar to town clothes (ex. dresses of the female dancers). Within the bouquet there are songs from Kostur ("Mori ~upi kostur~anki" - "O, ye girls from Kostur"), and from other parts of the Belomorska Macedonia. Of the male folk dances characteristic is "Ma{koto oro" - "Man's dance", which is a sort of a counterbalance to the "Te{koto" - "The Hard One" from Northern Macedonia, in the sense of expressing the manhood of the dancers (the slow rhytm and spontaneous steps make the dance looking rather difficult).
There are also other folk dances, such as pravoto, devetorka...
