St. Giorgi Pobedonosec (St. George the Victorious), Nagoricani
It is located in the immediate vicinity of the village of Mlado Nagoricane, between Kumanovo and Kriva Palanka. Some historians date it back to the time of despot Stefan Lazarevic, between 1406 - 1407, others to the XIV century. Kosta Balabanov, however, dates it as far back as the XI century. There the medieval writer Vladislav Gramatik stayed. He was from Novo Brdo, but after the Turks conquered the town, he went to Mlado Nagoricane, then to Matejce, and finally to the Rila Monastery. At Mlado Nagoricane in 1456 he transcribed a manuscript, today kept in the University Library of Odessa, under the No. 41.
