St. Dimitrija in Skopje
The church was undoubtedly built on an earlier cult location, in the beginning of the XIX century. It is a relatively small one-naval building, with a transept above the western section, and a small, blind dome. It was built of stone and mortar, with plastered facades. The entrances to the interior are on the northern and western sides. The interior walls are decorated with artistically irrelevant wall paintings whose author is unknown. On the iconostasis and throughout the church there are a number of icons, some of which date from the XIX century. In the courtyard there are a tall belfry and an administrative building. On the eastern side, next to the apse, is the tomb of Archbishop of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Angelarij. And inside the church is the tomb of the Archbishop His Holiness Dositej.
