It is located high above the rocks, at the foothill of Isar, in the town of Stip. It was built before 1350 by Jovan Probistipovic. After his death, his sons appended it to the Hilandar monastery. In 1350 also Tzar Dusan confirmed its status of an appendage. The church was abandoned. In 1955 certain minor repairs were carried out, however it's state has been deteriorating ever since.
