Yellow gold of the Pelagonia plane

    Pelagonia is the largest plane in Macedonia. It covers the fields of Bitola and Prilep in the basin of the Crna Reka river and its tributaries. It is surrounded by the mountains of: Baba, Bushova Planina, Dautica, Babuna, Selechka Planina, and Nidze.

    Pelagonia is the largest granary in Macedonia, with various crops such as: grain, sugarcane, tobacco, etc. The valley also shelters the cities of Bitola and Prilep, and numerous historic and cultural monuments.
