National Park Galicica

Located between the two largest Macedonian lakes, the Galicica National Park embraces magnificent landscapes. It is dominated by Mount Galichica with its summits of Kota (2,265 m) and Magaro (2,254 m), from which majestic panoramas of the two lakes reveal.

There are several completely protected zones of special natural beauty. They are: the Magaro peak and its surroundings, the swamps near the village of Stenje, the springs near St. Naum, and the forest area near the village of Konjsko. Especially picturesque are the springs of the Drim river and the Monastery of St. Naum, Zaum, Peshtani, Velestovo, as well as the monasteries St Ilija and St. Nikola near Konjsko, located along the shore of Lake Prespa.

The region of the Galichica National Park offers delightful holiday and walking opportunities in the beautiful nature, particularly in the summer period, and in winter there are its skiing terrains for winter recreation and pleasure.
