Mother of God with Christ |

96 x 62.5 cm. From the church of the Monastery of St John Forerunner, Slepce – Demir Hisar. Today - Museum of Macedonia, Skopje. Condition: Very well preserved. Minor damage to the frame due to flaking of the ground and layer of paint. Iconography: Mother of God is portrayed in half-length. |

In her left arm she holds the infant Christ and with her right she points to Him. She is dressed in dark red maphorion boarded with a gold band. Christ is giving a blessing with His right hand and in His left holds a scroll. Conservation: Cleaned and conserved in the laboratory of IPCM - Skopje.
