Bust of the Dead Christ |
25 x 20 cm. Tempera. Plaster ground on board. Revetment of golded silver. From the church of the Mother of God Peribleptos (St. Clement’s), Ohrid. Today - Icon Gallery, Ohrid. Condition: Part of Christ’s hair and His left shoulder are damaged from the flaking of the layer of paint.

| Also the silver revetment is seriously damaged, and only a little more
than half remains. Iconography: A bust of the dead Christ is portrayed. He is naked, with head gently bowed on the right shoulder. Among the saints on the revetment are St. Theodore Stratilate, St. Theodore Tyro, the Protomartyr Archdeacon Stephen, St. Cosmas and the holy martyr Eleutherios.
