Dormition of the Mother of God |

| Condition: Because the icon has broken horizontally in two parts, the figures in this area are badly damaged. Also the lower part of the icon and of the frame are badly damaged. Iconography: In the centre, a large catafalque covered with a sheet decorated with golden stripes. On it, the body of the Mother of God, with slightly raised head supported on a pillow. Behind the catafalque, Jesus Christ with a personification, the soul of the Mother of God, in His hands. Christ is in an ellipsoid mandorla. On both sides of the catafalque and behind it’s figures of apostles, archangels and angels surround Christ. In the foreground, in front of the catafalque, a brazier with coals on a low pedestal. Requisite architecture in the background. Conservation: Conservation made at the laboratory of IPCM - Skopje.
