The Baptism of Christ |

| Condition: The icon is well preserved. Iconography: In the centre of the composition, Jesus Christ stands in the River Jordan with a loincloth around his hips, turned slightly towards St. John the Baptist, who stands on the bank. Four angels are portrayed in rich draped garments, on the other bank. In the upper part of the composition, out of a segment of light the Holy Spirit descends, in a form of a white dove. The River Jordan is symbolized by a middle-aged man with blue wings holding large vessel in his hand. On the other side, under the bank, is a turtle decorated with a red mantle. Conservation: Conservation is made at the laboratory of the IPCM - Skopje.
