1262 A gift of Archbishop Constantine Cavasila of Ohrid. 135 x 93 cm. Tempera. Plaster ground on board. From the Church of the Mother of God Peribleptos (St. Clement’s), Ohrid. Today - at the Icon Gallery, Ohrid. Condition: The icon is very well preserved. Visible are only some slight damages at the middle of the right hand and one finger of the left hand. |
| A part of the relief halo is broken and lost. Iconography: Jesus Christ is portrayed in half-length. He is blessing with his right hand and holding a scroll in his left, dressed in dark red- purple hiton with highlights of gold and dark blue himation with pale blue highlights. On the reverse, in five medallions, an inscription which gives the information that the icon was a gift from Archbishop Constantine Cavasila of Ohrid 1262. Conservation: Cleaning and conservation of the only serious damage the right hand done in the laboratory of the IPCM - Skopje, 1960.
