The Folk Costume of the Eastern Part of Slavishte In the bordering villages of Kriva Palanka, known as the eastern part of Slavishte, the female costume has certain features of the shopski costumes. It is a simple white cotton shirt, a short sleeved shayak made of a black cotton material klashna ending bellow the knee decorated on the breast and the sleeves with the woolen braids and glitter décor. The sash is made of a woolen fabric with stripes and patterns. The apron called skutacha is decorated with petite patterns with batches of glittering décor thread amongst them. The winter and religious observance costume is a sleeveless dzube, knee length, made of black klashna decorated with braids and glitter décor. |
