Krsté P. Missirkov (1874-1926), a Macedonian activist and a philologist; an ideologist of the Macedonian national idea; the author of the study "On Macedonian Matters" (1903). In Odessa he issued the review "Vardar" in Macedonian (1905). Together with Dimitriya Chupovski, he is one of the organizers and a leader of the Macedonian colonies in St. Petersburg and Odessa, developing intensive activity in defence and affirmation of the Macedonian nation, language and culture.
